Adding Farmhouse Style to Your Home

Are you getting your home ready for holiday entertaining? I am and I have lots to do before my guests arrive.

If you're looking to add farmhouse character to your home, we've got you covered.

When mixing finishes, it's important to keep the style consistent.

In your kitchen, for example, try white quartz on your countertop, warm wood for cabinets, metal pendant lighting and black soapstone on your island.  Then add black and white accessories to finish the look.

Exposing wood beams and brick will add warmth to your living or great room.

Wood stacks near a fireplace can also help create a cozy feel in any living or great room.

Bringing the outdoors in by adding planters with house plants or fresh flowers is always a good idea!

Add large statement accessories like a farmhouse wall clock or metal wall art to your room.

Whenever possible, bringing vintage chippy pieces into your home is an excellent way of adding character—whether it's through accessories or furniture pieces themselves!

 Happy decorating!
